Something a little different, I finally sat down and completed a color/landscape study from photo reference. 

I tried doing this before and ended up getting so frustrated I gave up way too early, but I forced myself to get to the end with this one and I’m really glad I did.

Super happy with how it turned out, and especially with how accurately I was able to replicate the colors (with some exceptions). My next goal is simplifying my brush strokes, both to make the final product cleaner, and to make the process faster. This took me just under an hour, I want to cut that down to 15-30 min and end up with a result that’s more of a sketch and less of a painting.
