What’s makes it so funny is that someone even called it un-canon.

You want to know what’s un Canon?

Instead of Dean driving his most famous Impala 67, he starts driving a pickup truck.

Instead of Sam being insanely tall, he’s 5’2.

Instead of Dean eating his most favorite desert which is pie, he starts eating Donuts.

In the most incredible and obviously the most uncanon thing would be, instead of Charlie being canonly gay woman/lesbian. She’s actually straight. Now those are un-Canon those are something you should be worrying about.

Not the fact of a person of color (myself) drawing a white character black. That’s not the issue, because the show doesn’t have enough people of color, not enough diversity. If it was a black character being turned white then that’s an issue, you’re erasing the race that people of color want to see in more shows, but to a race that white people are familiar with and may want to see just only.

But the people who actually had an issue with it it kind of tells me a lot about them as people. There was a huge unnecessary conversation happening in one of the comments sections of a post that had castiel being black in. And the person’s only argument or proof or whatever was that it was “un Canon”. Not that, oh well it was just be ultimate change or that it will change the show or people how people see it.

None of that!

Just that Castiel isn’t black, he’s white.

That’s a sad and very very poor excuse to complain about a a fictional character being turned black by a person of color, a BLACK person do mind you that wish to see more diversity and shows even in their favorite shows.Hmp. Some fandom this is.

Find a hobby or something instead of hating on someone for their art, thank you ♡ it’s an angel we’re talking about, and Jimmy was just one of the many vessels cas tried on so whats the problem if this artist wants to picture them black? Representation is important and everyone should have their slice ♡
