Yessssssssssssss mundane life maintenance is my fave aspect of this show.

My two primary theories have always been:

A) Charlie, circa s9-ish, set them up with a bank account that siphons off unnoticeable amounts of money from dodgy corporations, so they have a steady (not overflowing) pool of funds, much as we saw her move money around from corporations to animal charities.

B) Sam sells weird shit he finds in the Bunker on the internet. Regular antique collectibles on eBay, supernatural esoterica on the black market. I’ve always liked this idea, and 13.08 lends weight to it a fair bit.

If it helps, between 8×13 and 11×22 the very fancy gold and silver chess set in the bunker transformed into plain wooden pieces. I don’t know if my favourite part of that detail is that they fenced the chess set or that they bought cheap replacement pieces so they could keep playing.
