God, I wish I had the same faith left in the writers you seem to have. In theory, Sam’s character should change now, but since they literally paid zero attention to him and zero attention to his reaction to Lucifer being back, I’m not sure anything will change now. Ugh.

I’m not a beacon of positivity necessarily, but I wouldn’t still be here if I didn’t have at least some hope, you know? I don’t think this scenario is totally outside of the realm of possibility.

With Lucifer dead, Sam’s arc is pretty much over. Hear me out. His entire life has been focused on shaking that ‘evil’ from himself. Now it’s gone for good. I know the last few seasons, Sam has ostensibly accepted his role as a hunter, but he always comes at it from a very dark place. Hopefully now, with the weight of a thirteen year long mytharc (!!!) off his shoulders, he’ll be able to reevaluate his stance and figure out what he really wants.

My hope for Sam isn’t necessarily more focus at this point. Of Team Free Will—now including Jack and Mary—he’s the closest to closure. Sam was always about atoning for his mistakes, and I don’t think anybody can argue at this point that he hasn’t fixed everything he broke.

I’d like the writers to get Sam to a healthy place over the next season so that when the show ends, I know that Sam has finally achieved the peace he deserves.

I’d love to see his relationship with Jack get expanded!!!
