Sign-ups open for the Supernatural Eldritch Bang!

What is an Eldritch Bang? It’s a new SPN bang that focuses on the eerie, creepy and unnatural. Give us all your horror tropes, Lovecraftian monsters, and Gothic scenes.

Whatever scares you, this is the place to write (and art) about it.

Writers must produce a fic of at least 5k words that revolve around any topics that tie back to any related horror themes. Artists will then claim stories and produce one piece of art (or more if you want) for that story.

Challenge will be run simultaneously on tumblr and LJ.

Posting begins on Halloween. Fast, quick and fun. And did we mention scary?

Being a crow sounds like such a fun existence it’s like

1. Wake up

2. Eat some garbage

3. Find a rabbit to fuck with because you just hate rabbits so much

4. Get to the top of a very tall tree and scream for at least two hours so that people know you’re a crow

5. Join your 3 crow friends in someone’s backyard and just fucking hop around like a goof ball

6. Yell some more

7. Okay that was good enough go to sleep!

8. Repeat

This year, Random Acts is teaming with GISH and Giles Duley’s Legacy of War to help change the lives of women who’ve survived incredible hardship and loss: survivors of genocide in Rwanda.

Together, we’re going to help a group of 100 hardworking women (many of them widowed from the genocide) build a sustainable farming cooperative and market, allowing them to achieve their dream of economic stability and independence. We need to raise $108,000. Let’s do it!
