Tomorrow is the DAY!! It is moving day to Florida aka Narnia and I am super excited and terrified and tired and sad and angry and numb and MY BODY IS READY TO BE NOT IN FUCKING KY!!

I know I’ve been kinda quiet and absent lately…that’s because real life has been sucker punching me. But I’m biting back (I’m throw terrible punches) and am hoping to post MUCH MORE REGULARLY once I’m settled and living the single life by the beach!! 😎😊😏

here’s a quokka it’s like someone decided to splice together a wallaby and a teddy bear they literally always look like a benevolent cartoon

i don’t think you can get more wholesome than that adorable lil seed-eating smiley face. they’re not even like dolphins, cute on the outside and evil on the inside. they’re herbivores about the size of a cat. there is nothing wrong with them. 

The Springhaas, or “irl pikachu” as it is sometimes known, is basically a rat shaped like a bunny abruptly caught in the middle of trying to evolve into a kangaroo. This is why they tend to look startled.

This is a dik dik. They are tiny antelopes from southern and eastern Africa–seriously so smol. With teeny hooves and teeny horns and big soulful eyes. And the name is fun to say. It comes from the alarm call that the females make. They live together in monogamous pairs. 

Long Eared Jerboa

The adorable mash-up of a hamster, bunny, and kangaroo. Whiskers with no end, ears that put a fennec to shame, and adorability beyond measure!

often the color of donald trump’s hair and looking like a cross between a bison and a guinea pig, the takin is actually a bloody big goat-antelope. they have splendid noses, a natural smile, and share their habitat with pandas. which should be good enough for anyone.

This is an okapi. They are related to giraffe, can lick their own eyeballs and kind of always look like you just asked them for a ride to the airport but look at those ears and the little striped legs ~(*^*)~

Chambered nautilus! A living fossil! I also love axolotl though.

Viscachas look like rabbits with longer tails, but they’re actually related to chinchillas.  Also they have a tendency to look like meditating monks when they sunbath.

Epaulette sharks are small, cute, and are named for their lovely shoulder decorations! Instead of swimming, they oftentimes use their fins to walk along the ocean floor. I love them.

The crisp leaves crunched under Sam’s feet as he carried the
body to the pyre, very gently setting it down on the ground beside him. He took
great care in building this one. It would be the last one he would ever build.
And the most important one, too. Everything had to be just right for this.

The sun was starting to set behind him, ending what had been
the hardest day of his life. He reached into his pocket as the wind blew
stronger, momentarily making him pause. He heard the fluttering of the leaves
and turned his head. He looked around, as if waiting for something – or someone.
But he was alone.

He knew the sound of the flutter of wings could now only be
a memory.

“Dammit Cas, why didn’t you just –“ Sam shook his head,
wiping his hand down his face, rubbing the tears from his eyes.

He pulled the amulet out of his pocket and put it around his
neck. He took a deep breath as he felt the weight of it against his chest. Sinking
to his knees in the dirt, and fingering the cloth wrapped around the body of
his brother, Sam raised his head to the sky, and screamed.

‘Cas, what are you doing?’, said Sam while he stirred and squinted as he opened his eyes, still heavy with sleep, to see his lover moving around in bed.

‘I apologise Sam. I was trying to cover you with blankets. You keep pushing them off in your sleep. The season has changed and the weather is cold for human standards. I would not want you to get sick’, Castiel muttered and Sam could feel him frowning in the dark, as if he thought it was ridiculous for him to ask such thing.

Sam chuckled as he imagined Castiel’s attempts to turn him into a human burrito made of bed covers without waking him up. He could feel his heart swell with love.

‘I love you, you know that?’, he reached out almost blindly for Cas’ hands, smiling when he felt their fingers intertwine, ‘if you worry that much you could come closer and hug me", he said teasingly with a smile on his lips. To his delight he immediately felt Cas sliding closer and put a hand around his waist, ‘I love you too but I doubt my vessel’s body heat will be enough to keep you warm, I insist Sam, let me cover you up’, Castiel almost begged.

Sam sighed, ‘well, okay, make a burrito out of me, but don’t let go of me after it, I sleep better when you’re hugging me’, he made a sound of discomfort as the contact was taken away from him while his lover retrieved the blankets. It ceased quickly after he felt a warm piece of soft fabric cover them both, immediately after, Cas spooned him again, ‘that’s it my love, sleep tight’, Cas said and kissed the back of his neck.

Sam just snuggled closer and let his heavy eyelids close, letting a calming feeling of peace take over him.
