Title: About Five Times The Distance

Author: cuddlemonsterdean

Pairings: Dean/Castiel (Sam/Eileen, Mary/AU!Bobby (mentioned))

It’s been months since Michael unexpectedly let Dean go, but he’s still dealing with the mental and physical repercussions, some of which have turned out to be permanent. He’s had to adjust how to deal with hunts and that he likely won’t ever be at a 100% again. On the upside, he and Cas are close now in a way that he’d never dared hope for, have made it clear how they feel for each other. Dean’s greedy for every bit of affection they share, helplessly wanting more but unsure if Cas wants the same. Dean’s family got him back and he’s got them, but they’re all dealing with their own respective issues and hang-ups, and when they – Cas, Dean, Sam, Eileen, and Jack – embark on a case of missing homeless people in San Diego, it all comes bubbling to the surface.

This case fic follows Dean and Cas as they develop their relationship and establish intimacy, and while there’s angst, the story is focused on healing and closeness, and there’s a happy ending.

This time of year sucks!

Yea, yea, I know Christmas cheer and presents and Christmas trees and lights and carols and all that jazz.

But when I left my house this morning, it was pitch black. I watched the sunrise just before I arrived at work. And when I left work, the sun was setting, and by the time I arrived home, it was pitch black again. I LITERALLY spent all of my daylight hours inside a building.

Seriously, the winter solstice is basically still a month away, I don’t know if I can do it.

Can’t I just hibernate until after December 21st??

Queer Reading List

jessicameats:

I have launched a new version of my queer reading list. This is a list of sci-fi and fantasy books that have significant queer representation of some form. The new version of list lets you look for specific types of representation.

On the left hand side, there’s a list of books with their cover images.

On the right hand side, there’s a set of filters. So if you’re looking for books with, for example, trans characters, you can select the filter and see just the list of books with that representation.

The filters on the first page are quite broad. So underneath the list there are arrows that let you navigate through other pages which are for these broad categories of representation and let you filter it down further.

So if you’re specifically looking for a book with a demi-sexual protagonist, you could go to page 6, which is the page for asexual spectrum representation, select the filter for demi-sexual protagonist, and see… well, the one book on the list that meets that set of filters.

Which brings me to my next point: this list needs more books on it. I’m looking for people to help contribute to this list. If you read sci-fi or fantasy books with queer representation and you would be willing to add those books to this list, please let me know. I’m working on a way to make it so that anyone can add books to the list, but at the moment, I’d need to give you access to add to it.

I want this to be a useful resource for people who are looking for more queer representation, and for authors who write queer SF&F to showcase those books. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

why limit yourself between choosing between a pretty feminine aesthetic or a dark one? if persephone can be the goddess of spring & queen of the underworld at the same time so can you

This is both against the gender roles that God put forth and in favor of the worship of pagan God’s. This is blatant satanic blasphemy
