Spn: Therapy

There should be an episode of Supernatural called Therapy, where Sam, Dean, Cas, and even Jack sit down and talk about everything. And I mean everything. All the lying, betrayals, deaths, fears, regrets, doubts, and more.

I’d watch the shit out of that episode.

and chuck is there (mostly ‘cause i miss Rob) but also:

a) he is really good at listening and reassuring

b) he needs to hear all the shit that’s gone down without him

c) Rob is a literal beam of sunshine

d) it’s his turn to come back after Gabriel

e) Gabriel should be there too

f) all the archangels have a chat with Chuck omg

g) so much fuckin’ therapy i need it

Petition to have this episode starting…. NOW!

The episode would likely have to be a movie because it would be 2 ½ hours long in order to fit all of that in…

Operation Octo Hidey Item: Gift Box. It’s quiet in the box, so he peeks out sometimes. He didn’t expect to see you there! Is it Christmas yet?

(We’re trying to find Octo!Cas a new hidey item since he lost his Easter egg. ♥ This item was my own idea, but you can suggest things for him to hide in on the post linked in the title above!)

This is what happened when I went to google “I want a hippopotomus for Christmas” lyrics

The purpose of this blog:

  • To be funny
  • To be lighthearted
  • To talk about being bi
  • To give humor to people who need it

The purpose of this blog is NOT:

  • To be your vent
  • To be your therapist
  • To be a place for you to talk about really personal stuff

I try to keep up the illusion of Dean almost constantly but some of you need a reminder that there is a person behind this blog. I don’t want to read anymore suicidal asks, asks about abuse, asks about death, or any other morbid things. I feel for you. I really do. But I’m not trained to read that stuff, let alone respond to it.

Before sending me an ask, first ask yourself: would I be ok with a stranger putting the responsibility of responding to this on me? Now imagine you are a person who runs this blog to be an amusing asshole, and answer the same question.

I’m trying to keep this blog light, and I’m trying to keep it fun to run. But if this keeps happening I’m going have to stop.

Please don’t send me bummers. There are other places for you to reach out to that aren’t me. That’s not the purpose of this blog.

Thanks.

^ IMPORTANT INFO. Especially important for any RP account or ask blog! The people behind them are not trained therapists, and they should not have to feel responsible for your real life anything just because you relate to or admire the CHARACTER they are playing.

Something that happened at my work yesterday:

Art Teacher: Can you explain some of the reasons why my students would need to refine their writing skills?
My Boss: [Long and slightly pretentious explanation about how artists need to explain and unpack the meaning of their art and their motivations and write museum blurbs]
Me [a writing tutor, watching a group of 30 students shut down]: …may I say something?
Art Teacher: …yes?
Me: I’m friends with professional illustrators, folks who work in the comics industries, people who do 3D printing for a living, and people who do commissioned art. And the best reason to refine your writing is to be able to explain to people why it’s worth something, and be able to get other people excited about what you’re doing so that you don’t “die from exposure”. Portfolio summaries are important. So is social media. Everything from instagram captions to Patreon posts-
Students: [instantly perk up and pay attention]
Art Teacher: [interrupting me with a nervous laugh] Yes well we all need to make a living, but REAL artists-
Students: [all tune out again]

STOP!!! FUCKING!!! DOING THIS!!! Art students deserve to know how the skills they’re learning will help them professionally, regardless of how they choose to use their art degree. Teaching that there’s only one way to “make it” as an artist is what literally STOPPED ME FROM DOING ART because I knew I was never going to be a museum artist. (All I wanted to do was doodle fairies.)

Anyway I’m gonna die mad about this.

Fuck art elitists who act like the only “real” art is museum/gallery art. Just because the person who paid for your art is a millionaire in a dick measuring contest with other millionaires doesn’t make your art inherently superior to another artist whose art was paid for by someone who wanted their D&D character illustrated and will love that art every time they get their character sheet out.

ALL OF THIS^^^^

*sobs*

I am so sorry there are still teachers out there that are like this.  I know a bunch.  I’ve had a bunch.  I remember in 9th grade I was looking at the summer reading list and was considering reading “A Tree Grows In Brooklyn” and I remember my teacher clear as day saying “I guess they’ll make anything a classic these days.”  I ended up reading “The Catcher In The Rye” and hating it.
