Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you ship from?

Tooele, Utah

Do you ship internationally?

No, unfortunately. Perhaps in the future, I will be able to do that.

When do you ship orders?

Wednesdays before work and Saturdays. Buy on those days before 10am Mountain Time and your order will ship that day.

How fast will I get my order?

I ship within 1-3 days and from there, your item should arrive within 3-5 business days. I will make posts announcing when I am going to the post office to ship orders.

Will an order ever be late?

Before shipping, a delay could be caused by Etsy detecting something off with your shipping address. If this happens, Etsy will alert me and I will contact you. To prevent this, please make sure your address is correct before placing your order. Once an order leaves my shop, it is in the hands of USPS.

What kind of yarn do you use?

That depends on the hat. I have some favorite brands and tend towards acrylic yarns just because I like the way they feel, but the individual yarns for a specific project can be found in the description.

Where do you make your products?

Everywhere. Crochet projects can be easily tucked in my (very large) bag and whipped out whenever I have a minute. I often crochet on my breaks at my full-time job, in the car when I’m a passenger, or around my own home.

Is each item hand made?

Yes and this takes time! There is only one of me and I only have two hands.

How long before [out of stock item] is back in stock?

This depends on the item. Hats can be made in a day or two, depending on how much time I have to work on them. More complicated items will take longer. Be patient and keep an eye on Tumblr or Twitter for posts when things are back in stock.

Do you take requests?

Not currently, but I would like to in the future.

Are your prices negotiable?

No.

How do I become a promoter?

See this post

How do I know what size hat to get?

My hats come in two sizes, large and medium. Larges fit heads 22-24″ and mediums fit heads 20-22″. To measure your head, use a device that cannot be stretched, such as a flexible measuring tape, and wrap it around the widest point of your head. This is generally slightly angled from the top of the forehead to the back of the head:

If a smaller size is needed, make a note in the order with your measurements and I will make the necessary adjustments.

UPDATE: I ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Buy before 10am Mountain Time on those days, and your order will ship THAT DAY

A day inside Karate’s brain:

Everyone else:  Oh, gosh, that’s helpful.

Me:  Does this mean demons who are currently possessing a meat suit should have their names spelled with an ‘s?

Whether you are referring to the demons’ meat suits’ names, or a specific demon’s meat suit’s name, the singular and plural apostrophe usage stays the same (that rhymed, wheee!)

In all seriousness, apostrophes are weird and it’s easy to get ‘em mixed up. I remember its vs it’s by reminding myself that there’s an apostrophe in the version that could be replaced with “it is” and still turn out grammatically correct.

It’s 2:30 in the morning and I should be sleeping, hopefully this all reads coherently later. XD

Haha!! It’s almost 6 am as I read this and I should be getting ready for work but instead I’m reading fanfic!!!
