Agreed re: season 10 but honestly the season 8 hair just… idk, season 7 hair has all the volume and floof but falls more flatteringly around his face. Along with the smutton chops to give him more shape. It’s the Iconic Sam Look and artists cartoonifying him and giving him pointy sideburns long after they disappeared just as part of his Look understand that that was a Primary Identifying Feature just like you’d give Dean the freckles and eyelashes. We’ve lost something truly special here. Although he HAS been gradually recovering the floof since season 11 maybe by season 14 he’ll be properly fluffy again. We can only hope.
Agreed, the s7 floof is the best floof, and early s8 was longer, but practically too long. Getting back into hunting after a year off meant he had to at least pretend to notice the FBI hair regulations… and also agree about the s10 soccer mom bob.

Given Sam’s //thing// is letting himself do what he wants and s7/8 saw him trying and letting his hair grow was part of it then we should see his hair get more magnificent… alongside more crazy fashion sense please!
