Demon, angel, and two wayward brothers, and who looks the most like they should have a halo here? The King of Hell.
Is this thing even on…?
(This Crowley was a warmup BEFORE the rest of the pic, but when I took the layer off invis he just looked like he was checking the camera. So we have an “outtake.”)
Summary: Dean falls into a heat unexpectedly in the early morning. Reluctantly, he follows Cas’ pleas for him to give in to his omega instincts to help him get himself through the heat.
’s Tell me an angst drabble challenge!Ok, so yeah this one is sad, but that was kinda the whole point of this one, so yeah. Loss, heartache, all that…

The crisp leaves crunched under Sam’s feet as he carried the
body to the pyre, very gently setting it down on the ground beside him. He took
great care in building this one. It would be the last one he would ever build.
And the most important one, too. Everything had to be just right for this.
The sun was starting to set behind him, ending what had been
the hardest day of his life. He reached into his pocket as the wind blew
stronger, momentarily making him pause. He heard the fluttering of the leaves
and turned his head. He looked around, as if waiting for something – or someone.
But he was alone.
He knew the sound of the flutter of wings could now only be
a memory.
“Dammit Cas, why didn’t you just –“ Sam shook his head,
wiping his hand down his face, rubbing the tears from his eyes.
He pulled the amulet out of his pocket and put it around his
neck. He took a deep breath as he felt the weight of it against his chest. Sinking
to his knees in the dirt, and fingering the cloth wrapped around the body of
his brother, Sam raised his head to the sky, and screamed.
Dean scoots his chair closer to my bedside, and he has that anxious look like I’m hurt. I guess I am. Still not in any pain, though.
“You were in an accident,” he says finally, eyes flicking to my forehead and back to my face. He forces a smile, but I can tell it’s serious.
“H-how long was I out?” I ask, coughing again slightly. “Water?”
“Right! Here, here you go.” Dean has a cup of water already on a tray nearby. There’s a few empty ones on the counter next to that. And that’s when I start to get uneasy.
“Dean,” I press him, sipping at the water. “How long?”
A shadow practically falls over his face.
“They said you were awake when they brought you in, but by the time I got here you were unconscious. It’s been three weeks.”
“Three — that’s impossible!” I sputter and nearly drop the water. “That long, I wouldn’t wake back up.”
“Yeah,” Dean says, his voice cracking. “You wouldn’t.”
This is cover art for a one-shot fanfic of mine, No Time At All. Here’s the summary and more info:
Sam is in a coma. An experimental drug lets him wake up for a few hours at a time, though, and be able to visit with his brother. Dean is helpless to change Sam’s situation, so Sam decides to try to change Dean’s.

Here’s what Mer!Sam from my and @beingcouy‘s fanfic Silver and Cold looks like–shiny fish tail, cursed necklace, Castiel always within arms’ reach and everything.
Haha! I went to go read this to realize I….already read it!!! Go read it!!!!
Chibi Mer!Sam is about the size of a goldfish. Okay, maybe a little bigger.
Sooooo he’s Ponyo
I was more inspired by memories of having to scoop goldfish into bags for people while I worked at Wal-Mart, but “Sam Winchester, Goldfish Princess” does sound adorable!
Poor mer!Sam!!! Someone come save him!!! (Octo!Cas to the rescue???)
