Of Pagan Gods and Cadbury Cremes – UmbraeCalamitas – Supernatural [Archive of Our Own]

Yes I’m doing this. Why? Because it’s my favorite fanfiction series ever and because you can’t stop me. This is a Supernatural fanfiction by UmbraeCalamitas, or @talkingtomyselfagain here on Tumblr. Before I start ranting about how much I adore this series, this is a Sabriel fanfiction though I recommend you read it even if you don’t like Sabriel just because the actual story is really amazing.

So, Sam is sent back in time by Castiel to try and prevent the Apocalypse from happening and gets sent back further than they (they being Sam, Dean, and Castiel) thought. All the way back to Stanford.

Because he’s just that great of a guy, he immediately gets knocked out and kidnapped by another college student (to be fair, he did just time travel) who then takes him as a sacrifice to Loki. Basically he manages to flirt his way out of being sacrificed (it was extremely entertaining) and then a thing happens. I’m not going to tell you what that thing is because you need to read this for yourself, but this was my not-very-brief summary for you.

Alright now for me talking. I’ve read this series about 5 times now since I first found it, which I’ve never done for any series except Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. Even then I only read it one other time. This series is just so addictive that I’ve actually gone through it in one sitting. Keep in mind that it is still being written and not yet completed, but don’t let that stop you (I certainly didn’t).

There’s also a spin-off written by @dreamhunter-trash including the characters from Merlin which I absolutely adore. I didn’t know it was possible for me to love fiction characters that much, but it is???

Bennie is the best teacher and I just love all the characters?? Poor Arthur’s job is rough.

Here, You Are Home | Chapter Six: These Are The Ones We Cannot Save

Summary: The explosion leaves a lot of people trapped and lost. Tony tries to dig people out of the rubble outside the building, but not everyone can be saved. Inside the building, Clint has his own problems, and meets some tiny fans.

WARNINGS: This chapter contains the after-effects of an explosion and the collapse of a building, medical trauma horror, deaths of original characters, injury/death to children, and people trapped in a collapsed building/beneath rubble. Also, non-consensual drug use and paralyzation due to drug administration. 

Full Fic Summary: It’s been little over a year of the Avengers working together and they’ve become close. They’ve become friends. Family, some of them will whisper quietly, but only in the deepest parts of their minds where no one else can hear. 

When a mission goes wrong and Clint is killed, all of the Avengers are affected, but Tony disappears into his workshop for days. When he finally comes out, he has a new AI: a robotic bird named Featherbrain, who speaks in a familiar voice. 

Meanwhile, Clint wakes up, a prisoner in a cell, but he’s not alone. Sitting across from him is Loki, and no one knows where either of them are. They’ll have to work together to escape, but how can Clint possibly trust Loki? 

He might not have a choice.

Part Six of Become the Beast (Cadbury). 

Summary: Sam learns that the dormitory he was meant to stay in has been closed because it’s being haunted by a poltergeist. Dealing with it proves to be a struggle, especially when he’s caught by campus security guard Arthur King and locked inside the dormitory. Now they have to work together to purify the dormitory, but there are a lot of floors and the poltergeist is very determined not to let them win.

The first official crossover in the series crosses Supernatural and Merlin (BBC). 

I got quite a lot of reviews about people freaking out over the ending of Of Music and Memories and I may have feared for my life just a little bit (I’m looking at you, @altyex), so here’s the first chapter of the next fic in the series. We’re back at Stanford now, but don’t worry, we’ll see SaMatt again.
