I’ve seen a post going around with some hateful comments about Waywayd Sisters, coming from the same old few. I was mostly indifferent toward the possible SPN spinoff until the hate became unbearable. Now I can say that I will support the hell out of that show because it’s 2018 for Chuck’s sake and these things cannot keep happening in our fandom. The show may or may not get picked up, but let’s give the beautiful SPN ladies plus cast and crew a chance to surprise us all. Please let’s not hate for the sake of it.  

The haters are just a few, but they’re very vocal. (I even tried to block the ones in that post and realized I had blocked them before). We need to follow their example in the sense that we need to be more vocal than they are. The loving side of the Supernatural fandom is a lot larger than the haters, so it’s time to join forces and give Wayward Sisters our support to balance the incredible amount of unjustified wank it’s receiving. 

It’s time to use the #Wayward and #WaywardSisters hashtags to spread positivity on these coming days here on Tumblr and on Twitter and Instagram. Let’s show everyone what our family is really capable of and let’s drown the voices of those who certainly should not be what other fandoms see about us.

It’ll probably get even worse after the episode airs – if they’re already so set on being angry about it now, without even having seen it, then for a lot of them the episode itself will probably just add fuel to the fire. Those of us who are rooting for it are going to need to keep the positivity going well beyond the 18th. Not that it’ll be hard to do – I’m sure seeing the episode will add fuel to our fire too 🙂
