I would love to see a filler episode of Supernatural that revolves around a day in the life of Sam Winchester doing research for a case and burning out as he’s working through mental health issues, so he goes for a walk as a distraction to clear his head. Throughout the episode, you see him interacting with random towns folks: helping an older lady with her groceries, having coffee with a truck driver he’s interviewing, holding jump rope for a group of kids who marvel at how tall he is, asking permission to pet someone’s dog who comes up to him and he can barely contain his smile. All these interactions link together to help Sam cope while simultaneously solving the current mystery. At the end of the day he’s exhausted but feels slightly better and his clear head helps him piece together the clues, it ends with him calling Dean, “Hey Dean, so get this-”.
